Specialist – Survey & GIS

Role Overview

Specialist – Survey & GIS at AD Ports Group. The role is responsible for planning, conducting, and supervising field survey activities; collecting, processing, and interpreting survey and geospatial data; preparing technical drawings, maps, and GIS outputs; maintaining spatial databases; and providing accurate survey information to support engineering, construction, and development projects.

Role Purpose

Act as a key point of contact for customer requests, ensuring timely delivery of survey products and adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Field Survey Operations

• Conduct and supervise field survey works of plot demarcation and staking-out of property boundaries, topographic surveys, and geodetic surveys.
• Implement site visits guiding prospective investors to field for checking and inspecting land against their requirements and expectations.
• Complete handover of land property to investors after engagement in land lease agreement with Abu Dhabi Ports.
• Supervise and coordinate the efforts of survey team individuals from outsource survey contractors for Abu Dhabi Ports.

Data Processing & Technical Outputs

• Perform survey calculations and processing for data collected from the field.
• Prepare relevant maps and drawings.
• Maintain up-to-date land records.

Stakeholder Management

• Provide excellent client relationships and services to investors and third-party consultants and contractors.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Surveying or equivalent, as minimum.
• 5 years of experience in the surveying field.
• Work experience in at least one of the following: Municipalities, Town Planning, dedicated surveying firms, Consulting and Contracting engineering companies in different land surveying branches.

Skills & Competencies

• Written and spoken English (essential).
• Arabic (preferred).
