Role Overview
Specialist, Payroll & Payments at First Abu Dhabi Bank. The role is based in Abu Dhabi and involves managing payroll operations, processing employee payments, and maintaining payroll records for UAE and GCC employees.
Role Purpose
To manage payroll inputs, process regular, off-cycle, and final settlement payrolls for UAE and GCC employees while ensuring payroll accuracy, maintaining precise records, and providing tier 2 support to resolve employee queries through HR stakeholders and ASK HR.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Operations
- Manage payroll inputs and system uploads for monthly, off-cycle, and final settlement payrolls in close coordination with the Payroll Manager.
- Independently manage payroll verification and reconciliations to ensure payroll accuracy targets are maintained.
- Perform payroll verification covering gross to net, net to net, and off-cycle payroll and final settlements verifications.
- Initiate payroll costing and payment processes in the system.
- Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions in the designated documents repository.
Pension Management
- Conduct monthly pension reconciliation.
- Handle pension issues and resolve related discrepancies.
Employee Support
- Resolve employee queries received through HR stakeholders and ASK HR within the agreed service level agreement.
- Provide tier 2 support to address payroll-related employee questions.
Reporting & Analysis
- Generate standard and ad-hoc reports for management and auditing purposes.
- Perform data analysis on payroll information.
- Prepare periodic payroll reports for management review.
Policies, Systems & Procedures
- Provide inputs to develop and implement policies, systems, and procedures for the assigned team.
Continuous Improvement
- Participate in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes, and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement, and cost reduction.
Governance & Decision Making
- Function within the framework and boundaries of Group policies and overall organizational and governance frameworks.
- Make decisions in accordance with the approved authorization matrix.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of payroll experience.
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and payroll practices.
- Experience working with accounting and payroll software including Oracle and SAP.
- Knowledge of Oracle and Fusion Payroll is essential.
