Role Purpose

The GTx Business Finance function is responsible for all finance matters specific to the GTx business, including performance, control, forecasting, budgeting, and strategy. This role provides key support to other Group Finance functions, Treasury, Central FP&A, Tax, and Financial & Regulatory Reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Control & Governance

• Review GTx daily P&L and balance sheet, investigate and analyze variances.
• Flag and remediate material variations with relevant Operations and IT teams.
• Regularly assess and investigate the integrity of financial information.
• Assist Account controller to manage and review all accounts that fall under GTx business.
• Perform conformance testing on a sample list of accounts in coordination with GFC.
• Coordinate with GFC to maintain and support the framework of financial controls.
• Maintain SOPs for all processes and tasks that fall under GTx business finance, documented with relevant approvals.
• Provide relevant support to VP Business Finance and Head of Business Finance GTx as necessary.
• Support GTx Business Finance in implementing a strong financial governance framework across UAE and International locations encompassing performance reviews, budgeting process, financial control, regulatory and internal audit matters, country strategy and internal/external communication.

Projects & Business Requirements

• Support GTx Finance in reviewing Capex and P&L benefits such as revenues, cost savings and KPIs are appropriately captured in BCD documents.
• Maintain repository of approved BRDs to review at a later stage to challenge business.
• Work with GTx Channels and product team to gain full understanding of projects and their benefits.
• Collaborate with business and CPMO on value reporting of projects that went live.
• Develop GTx Projects Capex reports providing a view on YoY spending and challenge business on benefits accrual.
• Monitor monthly GTx business cost with special focus on TCO.

Performance Reporting & Exception Management

• Work closely with FPA & FR to develop exception reports to ensure integrity of financial and management reporting (for example, negative income or negative balance sheet assets or liabilities).
• Assist GTx in reviewing and developing analytics around ECL & RWA to proactively monitor and assess if there are any optimization initiatives.
• Liaise with Trade Risk distribution team and ensure risk participation payouts are accrued in respective period without lag.
• Work with Risk and CAD to ensure Risk distribution numbers are consumed for CRWA calculation.

Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory

• Act as a trusted advisor on business performance and main point of contact for responding to specific business requirements.
• Provide in-depth financial analysis for Global Treasury, Trade & Tokenization (GTx), provide value-added insight and support to business in achieving targets.
• Effectively coordinate, communicate, and build excellent relationships with key stakeholders across Finance and GTx Business.

Transformation & Development

• Contribute fully to transforming FAB Finance through engagement in various transformation initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Professional qualifications preferred, for example Business bachelor's degree.
• Experience in financial analysis and performance analysis desired.
• Technical knowledge of WBG products.
• Good level of knowledge in finance, analysis, strategic planning, banking and financial markets with ability to interpret key bank ratios and economic indicators.

• Adept in MS Productivity tools, including MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.
