Role Overview

Specialist Critical Care Physician at Astra ProMed in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will provide specialized care to critically ill patients and work closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Role Purpose

To assess, diagnose, and manage critically ill patients while delivering comprehensive intensive and critical care services within a leading healthcare facility.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care & Patient Management

• Assess, diagnose, and manage critically ill patients.
• Provide comprehensive intensive and critical care services.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor patients and respond promptly to changes in clinical condition.
• Perform critical care procedures within the scope of practice.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary medical and surgical teams.
• Support and mentor junior medical staff where appropriate.

Documentation, Quality & Governance

• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

• Medical degree with a recognized postgraduate qualification in Critical Care, Intensive Care Medicine, Anaesthesiology, or a related specialty.
• Relevant post-specialization clinical experience.
• Eligibility for Specialist Critical Care classification under applicable UAE PQR requirements.
• Valid DOH licence/eligibility or willingness to complete the required licensing process.
