Role Purpose
Curate and optimize the online shopping experience to maximize product visibility, enhance user experience, and drive sales.
Key Responsibilities
Product Management
- Manage, create, and remove categories and collections on the website.
- Manage product recommendation and personalization tools.
- Ensure consistency of product SKUs and labels with ERP systems.
- Align with the Online Brand Strategy plan and assist dedicated teams on operational actions for acquisition, promotion, retention, and communication.
- Liaise with the purchasing team for new product launches in line with all stores.
- Manage the launch of products, including content requests from brands and stock requests from the purchasing team.
- Ensure all promotions are active online, including discount promotions, GWP (gift with purchase), and PWP (purchase with purchase) by country.
Merchandising on Site
- Utilize sales and customer analytics to decide how products should be displayed online to maximize sales.
- Demonstrate proficiency using SFCC to manage online merchandising.
- Work closely with product and tech teams to suggest and test new functionalities and on-site developments, tracking KPIs before and after change.
- Guarantee optimum brand presentation in homepages, landing pages, and product descriptions.
- Organize product assortment by best sellers, unsung heroes, and new launches to optimize sales.
- Update filters and main menu navigation.
- Update homepage banners and content to guide customers to current promotions, newness, product recommendations, and best sellers.
- Optimize product pages, including product imagery, monitoring reviews, cross-sells and upsells, and product page special offer banners.
- Optimize the catalogue to increase conversion rates.
Coordination
- Own the merchandising calendar, planning with marketing, content, and social teams while constantly seeking optimization.
- Work with purchase coordinators to ensure products used in marketing campaigns are online in time, share product links, and work with the content team to manage social media schedule based on arrivals.
- Notify marketing and content teams of new brand arrivals for photography so content is ready to launch with Brand online.
- Work with CRM to determine email schedule and select relevant products.
- Communicate brand updates and website changes with the team.
- Guide and train associate merchandisers and new joiners.
Reporting
- Analyze and report on best sellers by week, month, country, categories, and brands.
- Provide regular reporting to update brands on merchandising KPIs.
- Analyse website performance, traffic, conversion, and other KPIs across regions and countries.
- Monitor Google Analytics on a daily basis to create actionable recommendations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Strong analytical ability with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with reporting tools such as Google Analytics.
- High attention to detail to ensure product data integrity and website QC.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of e-commerce KPIs as well as inventory and stock management.
- Highly experienced using CMS systems such as SFCC with ability to problem solve and influence development scoping to optimize KPIs.
