Service Technician

Role Overview

Service Technician at Ali & Sons Holding LLC. This is an automotive service and maintenance role supporting the workshop operations of a leading automotive dealership in the UAE.

Role Purpose

Ensure the efficient servicing, maintenance, and repair of MG vehicles while maintaining high-quality workmanship in accordance with MG Guidelines and IEM SOP, contributing to vehicle reliability, workshop efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Service & Maintenance

• Carry out minor periodic service and maintenance in accordance with MG Guidelines and IEM SOP.
• Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) in accordance with required standards.
• Repair or replace worn, damaged, or faulty components as per the assigned job order.

Diagnostics & Technical Support

• Use VDS scanning tools to read, diagnose, and erase vehicle faults.
• Assist Repair and Diagnostic Technicians with repairs and technical tasks as required.

Documentation & Coordination

• Provide clear and accurate write-ups of work performed, including relevant comments and safety concerns.
• Clock in and out of assigned job orders in accordance with standard procedures.
• Coordinate with the Workshop Controller regarding vehicle status and with the Parts Advisor to obtain the correct parts.

Tools & Equipment Management

• Maintain an inventory of standard technician tools and ensure they are properly maintained.
• Maintain company assets, tools, and equipment in good condition.

Workplace Standards

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
• Adhere to all company health and safety procedures and regulations.

Professional Development & Compliance

• Continuously develop technical knowledge and skills through formal training and technical updates.
• Follow instructions from the supervisor in accordance with company policies and SOPs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a similar automotive technician role.
• Higher Diploma in Mechanics, Automotive Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Brand Advanced Technician Qualification Certification is required.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong technical skills and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools, VDS scanning equipment, standard technician tools, and workshop equipment.
• Computer literacy and comfort using vehicle diagnostic and workshop systems.
• Fluency in English is essential; Arabic language skills are preferred.
• Attention to detail, willingness to learn, teamwork, discipline, and strong commitment to health and safety standards.
