Role Overview

Senior Vice President & Head of AI Products at RAK BANK. This role is based at RAK BANK and reports to the Head of AI and Data Science.

Role Purpose

Lead the bank's AI delivery engine and drive execution of the AI strategy across the organization. Scale the AI product portfolio, operationalize AI capabilities enterprise-wide, and deliver measurable business value through innovative AI solutions while leading multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Portfolio

• Translate the bank's AI strategy into an executable portfolio of AI products, platforms, and capabilities.
• Oversee the end-to-end AI product lifecycle, from ideation and prioritization through deployment and continuous improvement.
• Partner with senior leadership to identify, prioritize, and deliver high-impact AI initiatives.

Operations & Delivery

• Lead and manage AI delivery squads focused on customer-facing AI solutions and internal productivity initiatives.
• Drive enterprise-wide AI adoption by enabling teams with the right tools, platforms, frameworks, and reusable assets.
• Manage the AI Lab budget, ensuring effective investment allocation and delivery of business outcomes.

Stakeholder Management & Governance

• Prepare and present executive updates for senior stakeholders, including CEO and executive leadership reviews.
• Build strategic relationships with technology partners, hyperscalers, AI vendors, research institutions, and industry bodies.
• Lead AI governance, risk management, and compliance adherence across all AI initiatives.

Culture & Leadership

• Establish and foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, responsible AI, and continuous learning.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams of AI product managers, engineers, data scientists, and delivery specialists.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
• Master's degree in AI, Data Science, or a related field is an advantage.
• 10 to 12 years of experience within AI, Data Science, Advanced Analytics, Technology Product Delivery, or related fields.
• Minimum 3 to 4 years of experience leading teams of data scientists, AI engineers, product managers, or technology professionals.
• Proven experience delivering AI or analytics products from concept through production and business adoption.
• Strong exposure to Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and emerging AI technologies.
• Experience within banking, financial services, or other regulated industries is preferred.
• Demonstrated success managing complex portfolios, executive stakeholders, and significant budgets.
• Strong Agile delivery and product management experience.
