Role Overview

Role Purpose

Design and deliver enterprise-grade solutions leveraging hands-on experience with airline-specific systems, while managing business stakeholder expectations effectively and ensuring seamless collaboration between technical teams and business units.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Development

• Lead the architecture, design, development, and deployment of enterprise applications using the .NET framework and .NET Core.
• Design and implement scalable, high-performance applications using C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, and related technologies.
• Develop and optimize RESTful APIs, microservices, and serverless architectures.
• Identify opportunities for leveraging advanced .NET features, tools, and frameworks to enhance airline systems.
• Work on application modernization and cloud migration projects, including Azure and AWS.

Domain Expertise

• Leverage expertise in the airline domain, including systems such as Passenger Service Systems (PSS), reservation, ticketing, and loyalty management.
• Ensure technical solutions are compliant with IATA standards and tailored to airline-specific workflows.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including QA, DevOps, and product management.

Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements, define technical specifications, and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Communicate technical solutions effectively to non-technical stakeholders and manage expectations around project timelines and deliverables.
• Provide tailored technical solutions based on gathered and analyzed requirements.

Operations & Issue Resolution

• Manage technical projects, including planning, execution, and risk management, to ensure on-time delivery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.

Information Security & Compliance

• Read and comply with the company's ISR policies and diligently report any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team.
• Complete all required ISR awareness sessions and follow associated guidelines in day-to-day business operations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 7 to 9 years of professional experience.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in .NET development, including ASP.NET, .NET Core, and C#.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
• Hands-on experience with Azure or other cloud platforms for deployment and monitoring of .NET applications.
• Proven ability to engage with business stakeholders, gather and analyze requirements, and provide tailored technical solutions.
• Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL databases, such as MS SQL Server and MongoDB.
• Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automated testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Extensive experience working with airline systems such as PSS, reservation systems, fare filing, and inventory management.
• Familiarity with airline-specific processes, loyalty programs, and integration with GDS systems.
