Role Purpose
Lead the consolidation of financial statements across the group and oversee the group accounting function. Ensure compliance with international financial reporting standards, shape the company's financial reporting framework and accounting policies, and provide insightful financial analyses to support strategic decision-making. Enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the financial reporting process through strategic leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Consolidation
- Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- Lead the consolidation of financial statements across the group.
Accounting Policies & Controls
- Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure financial integrity and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulations, assessing their impact and driving necessary changes within the organization.
Compliance & Audits
- Ensure compliance with international financial reporting standards.
- Ensure effective coordination with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits and compliance reviews.
Strategic Leadership
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to the executive leadership team.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the group accounting function to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Mentor and develop accounting professionals within the group, fostering a high-performance culture.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Advanced degrees or professional certifications such as CPA or ACCA are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in group accounting.
- Significant leadership experience in a similar role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of IFRS, financial consolidation, and regulatory compliance requirements.
