Senior Officer - Flight Data Monitoring

Role Overview

Senior Officer - Flight Data Monitoring at flydubai, based in Dubai.

Role Purpose

To assist in identification and mitigation of underlying hazards and risks through the collection, processing, analysis and archival of aircraft operational data.

Key Responsibilities

Flight Data Monitoring

• Monitor flight data to identify instances where flight operations are not in accordance with all applicable flydubai requirements, standards and procedures.
• Analyse flight data to identify, filter, and distribute any gaps or issues, and share relevant findings with stakeholders for review and resolution.
• Participate in flight replay and brief flight crew on FDM related events and provide guidance and recommendations on any issues discovered.

System Operations & Administration

• Ensure the effective operation of the Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) system by coordinating with relevant stakeholders to resolve system issues.
• Act as the system administrator for assigned safety applications including but not limited to the FDM and Safety Management System (SMS), ensuring user access, system records, and data are maintained.

Reporting & Analysis

• Generate timely FDM trend analysis reports and co-author the FDM safety newsletters to support safety awareness and operational improvement.
• Collate safety performance data and prepare a draft for review at Safety Review Board (SRB) and Safety Action Group (SAG) meetings.
• Support safety investigations by providing any relevant flight data summaries, highlighting key events, trends, and parameters for review.

Process Improvement & Coordination

• Recommend processes or policy improvements to optimise FDM reporting and analytics.
• Coordinate with internal and external parties to ensure that FDM issues are resolved efficiently and work with them to develop and rollout any updates.

Information Security & Compliance

• Read and comply with the ISR policies of the company and diligently report any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team.
• Complete all required ISR awareness sessions and follow associated guidelines in day-to-day business operations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree with 3 or more years of experience.
• Bachelor's degree in an aviation-related discipline.
• 5 to 7 years of experience with qualifications, or 7 to 9 years of experience without qualifications.
• Flight Data Monitoring experience.
• Knowledge of GE FDM system.
