Role Overview
Senior Manager - GLP & Inventory at Emirates Flight Catering. This is a senior leadership role responsible for the Operations Support & Excellence function within a large-scale catering operation.

Role Purpose
To take ownership of the Operations Support & Excellence function and translate operational complexity into measurable improvements through data-driven decision making, process optimization and leadership of a sizeable team. You will look across a large and complex operation, challenge current practices and deliver operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Lead operational excellence, efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives across the function
- Challenge how things are done today and identify opportunities for optimization
- Own LEAN processes and optimization of cost and resources
- Deliver operational efficiency initiatives and service improvements at scale
Performance & Analytics
- Establish and manage performance analytics, dashboards and KPIs
- Drive data-driven decision making across the operation
- Analyse complex information to identify what needs to change
Planning & Resource Management
- Own CAPEX, OPEX and manpower planning
- Lead resource planning, deployment and utilization across the operation
- Optimize resource allocation to support operational needs
Standards & Operations
- Establish and maintain SOPs, SLAs and operational standards
- Own business continuity and operational resilience
- Manage technology enhancements and operational improvement projects
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Lead a sizeable team and work closely with senior operational leaders
- Engage cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities and solve problems
- Manage customer communication, ERP transactions, billing and invoicing
Capability Development
- Lead training, capability building and succession planning initiatives
- Influence stakeholders and turn ideas into practical solutions
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 8 years' experience leading large-scale operational activities
- Ideally within logistics, catering and/or an airside environment
- Strong track record of delivering operational efficiency initiatives and service improvements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
- Lean Six Sigma highly desirable
