Role Overview

Senior Legal Counsel – Regulatory and Employee Advisory at Qiddiya Investment Company. This role provides expert legal guidance on regulatory compliance and employment matters, ensuring the company operates within applicable laws and best practices in human resources.

Role Purpose

To deliver strategic legal advice on labor and employment regulations, manage regulatory compliance across employee lifecycle processes, and support management in resolving complex employment matters while maintaining alignment with local and international legal standards.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance & Advisory

• Provide strategic legal advice on labor laws, employment regulations, and regulatory requirements affecting the company's operations.
• Stay abreast of legal developments in labor and employment law and assess their impact on the company.
• Represent the company in regulatory matters related to employment and liaise with governmental authorities as required.

Employment Matters & Risk Management

• Draft, review, and advise on employment contracts, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with local and international labor laws.
• Support management in resolving complex employee relations issues, disputes, and disciplinary matters.
• Collaborate with HR and other departments to ensure legal risks are managed effectively across employee lifecycle processes.

Training & Team Development

• Conduct training and workshops for management and employees to raise awareness on regulatory compliance and employment best practices.
• Mentor and guide junior legal team members.

Qualifications & Experience

• Legal qualification with admission to practice law.
• Minimum of 8 years' experience specializing in regulatory and employment law, preferably in a corporate or in-house legal environment.
• In-depth knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, and regulatory compliance in relevant jurisdictions.
• Proven ability to manage complex employee relations and regulatory compliance issues.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong drafting, negotiation, and advisory skills in employment and regulatory matters.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both Arabic and English.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment handling multiple priorities.
