Senior Information Manager

Role Overview

Senior Information Manager at AtkinsRéalis, based in the Middle East. This role combines internal process improvements and construction project delivery support, ensuring project delivery teams adhere to standards and industry best practices.

Role Purpose

To ensure digital content is produced, stored, shared and exploited using the latest technologies and practices. The role supports project teams in adhering to information management standards and best industry methods throughout project delivery lifecycles, whether AtkinsRéalis acts as Lead Appointed Party or Appointed Party.

Key Responsibilities

Information Management & Standards

• Develop Information Management documents including Pre- and Post-BEP, federation strategy, Level Of Information Need, and responsibility matrix.
• Ensure internal and external capability and capacity processes are implemented and followed.
• Undertake effective information management functions in accordance with ISO 19650 throughout project lifecycles.
• Ensure BIM execution plan, Information Exchange Processes, and self-disciplinary coordination workflows are properly implemented and applied by the delivery team.
• Support auditing task teams in delivery of Task Information Delivery Plans to meet Appointing Parties Requirements.
• Coordinate supply chain Task Information Delivery Plans (TIDP's) to support development of Master Deliverables List.

Digital Content & Collaboration

• Administer CDE (ACC/BIM 360) and support project team in utilization of CDE.
• Check and review processes (both technical and quality) for deliverables utilizing digital tools.
• Ensure file naming convention for deliverables and process for updating status and revision codes in compliance with ISO 19650.
• Provide technical advice on software and technology involved in delivery of projects to BIM processes and workflows.

BIM Processes & Quality Assurance

• Perform multidisciplinary clash detection, identification, grouping and support in assignment and resolution of clashes.
• Chair and lead BIM workshops and Clash Resolution meetings.
• Maintain minutes and support meeting organisation for BIM activities.
• Ensure thorough understanding of QA/QC of LOD 400-500 BIM models.
• Ensure LOD / LOI is generated in BIM Models across stages in the project lifecycle.
• Develop design to Construction through BIM processes such as 5D/4D.
• Manage coordination reports of interfaces between engineering disciplines, design and construction, and temporary and permanent works design activities through the BIM process.

Strategic Initiatives & Leadership

• Support strategic global and regional digital initiatives.
• Support and lead ISO certification and its continuance globally for AtkinsRéalis.
• Support Digital Lead regarding all required tasks.
• Drive strategic planning and management of BIM functions including production of asset information model (AIM) with related O&M data by using COBie.
• Manage coordination of supply chain BIM deliverables in line with Employers Information Requirements.

Technical Expertise

• Provide extensive understanding of point-cloud data for as-built model preparation.
• Demonstrate thorough understanding of engineering principles and spatial coordination.
• Work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders including clients, contractors, regulatory bodies, and key project partners.

Qualifications & Experience

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in architectural or civil engineering.
• 10+ years' experience in AEC industry.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in Middle East region.
• 5+ years' experience in digital delivery of complex, multidisciplinary projects (Information Management/BIM).
• Information Management certification by a relevant institution such as BRE, Operam Academy, or RICS.
• Technical proficiency of BIM LOD 300 with strong knowledge of LOD 400–500 BIM models.
• Contractor's BIM experience is advantageous, with understanding of driving BIM project from design, construction to handover stage.

Skills & Competencies

• Solid understanding of BIM processes, standards, and construction processes across all project lifecycle stages.
• Understanding of MIDP/TIDP is mandatory.
• COBie experience is mandatory with understanding of Uniclass and Masterclass standards.
• Software certification in Revit, Navisworks, Civil3D, ArcGIS, Synchro, or Fuzor is desirable.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
