Senior HR Generalist Administrator at McDermott. The Senior HR Generalist Admin has developed specialized administration-specific skills through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience, and can provide support to their team with a limited degree of supervision.

Role Purpose
The Senior HR Generalist Admin works closely with their team and other teams to administrate HR work practices and processes to achieve results or improve efficiency. They act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience and are skilled in a range of processes, procedures, and systems.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Records and Data Management
- Maintain physical or digital employee files.
- Prepare and submit tickets to the Global People Services team for updating HR system data, including employee personal data, salary changes, promotions, and employment details.
Payroll and Compensation
- Review and approve employee payroll claims.
- Prepare and submit tickets to the Global People Services team for HR and payroll system updates.
Employee Support and Resolution
- Act as the point of contact for employees on general, payroll, and timesheet queries and resolve issues through immediate action.
- Communicate detailed technical administration information with the team.
Documentation and Communications
- Generate documents such as offer letters, verification of employment, salary letters, and promotion letters.
Onboarding and Offboarding
- Coordinate onboarding and off-boarding processes, including conducting orientation sessions, exit interviews, benefit enrollments and exits, and system updates.
HR Operations and Reporting
- Support various HR processes by coordinating meetings, tracking and reporting on progress, and managing data.
- Prepare reports and HR metrics.
- Support general HR initiatives.
General Administration
- Work within defined parameters, make decisions, and apply concepts to administrative issues of medium to high complexity.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years administrative experience, with at least 2 years in an HR admin role.
- Broad knowledge of human resources principles, practices, and procedures.

- Ability to build good relationships.

- Strong sense of urgency and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks with superb accuracy.
- Proficient in HR systems such as SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, and Alfresco.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
