Role Overview
Senior Finance Manager at Burjline Builders. Reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
Role Purpose
Oversee all financial activities of the company, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and provide strategic financial guidance to support organizational growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Statements & Reporting
- Assist the Manager Accounts in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS and company policies.
- Deliver monthly entity financial statements by the 4th of each month.
- Deliver final consolidated reporting by the 6th of each month.
- Prepare Board of Directors meeting presentations.
- Prepare cost-of-capital reports.
- Provide ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis to support the Global Chief Financial Officer's decision-making.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Prepare the annual consolidated budget.
- Assist with cash flow forecasting.
- Provide comparative analyses for facility renewals.
Audit & Compliance
- Manage internal and external audit processes.
- Draft audited financial statements.
- Oversee fixed asset registers.
- Oversee accrual entries.
- Oversee VAT return support.
- Oversee bank reconciliations, due by the 2nd working day of the month.
Group Financial Management
- Oversee and reconcile intercompany balances and transactions across group entities.
- Gather insurance coverage requirements across group divisions.
- Review policy terms for gaps or changes.
Banking & Treasury
- Maintain schedules of bank facilities.
- Draft reports for bank meetings.
- Conduct routine banking transactions.
- Handle information requests from financial institutions.
- Track foreign exchange deals.
- Monitor maturity dates of foreign exchange contracts.
- Monitor foreign exchange movements to support the Global Chief Financial Officer in currency bookings.
Insurance Management
- Source, evaluate, and compare insurer quotations, premiums, exclusions, and coverage limits.
- Prepare comparative documentation to support management and Board insurance approvals.
Team Supervision & Operations
- Supervise Financial Analysts and Accountants.
- Ensure accurate Enterprise Resource Planning entries.
- Oversee payroll control reconciliations.
- Ensure timely supplier and employee payments.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional accounting certification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, or CFA.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a finance management role.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
