Senior Engineer, Maintenance (Civil)

Role Overview

Senior Engineer, Maintenance (Civil) at KBR. This role provides specialized civil engineering expertise across transportation, infrastructure, water systems, and related disciplines.

Role Purpose

Study, design, specify, and deliver services for civil engineering works including transportation systems, infrastructure, water resources, and geotechnical projects. Apply independent judgment to solve complex engineering problems and guide less experienced team members through conventional and non-standard technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Engineering

• Study, design, and specify transportation systems (road, rail, airport, seaport).
• Design bridges, infrastructure, drainage systems, underground utilities, and tunnels.
• Deliver hydrology, hydraulics, water treatment, distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, and water resources engineering.
• Conduct raw water supply and geotechnical design work.
• Devise new approaches to problems encountered in civil engineering works.

Planning & Execution

• Plan and schedule work requiring independent judgment and evaluation.
• Select and adapt engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to project requirements.
• Perform conventional engineering practice across a variety of complex features, including conflicting design requirements, unsuitable conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.

Technical Leadership

• Provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.
• Work under general supervision, performing all conventional aspects of the functional area subject matter.

• Execute work that impacts cost containment, efficiency, profitability, and operations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of related civil engineering experience.
• Average experience ranging from 6 to 10 years.
