Role Overview
Senior Data Analyst - Credit at Tamara, a leading fintech platform headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, serving the GCC region.

Role Purpose
Drive business impact and accelerate growth in the Credit department by developing analytical solutions, building data-driven insights, and enabling informed decision-making across the organization through actionable intelligence and key product success metrics.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Insights
- Drive business impact through actionable insights and identifying key opportunities for rapid growth.
- Develop a process to identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets to empower informed decision-making for stakeholders.
Analytics & Reporting
- Build dashboards that provide accurate and actionable insights.
- Work with data engineering teams on data enrichment needs of the product team.
Stakeholder Management & Governance
- Work with stakeholders across the business to prioritize projects based on impact and drive delivery.
- Ensure governance and act as a steward of good analytical practices throughout the process.
Qualifications & Experience
- 6+ years of experience in data analytics.
- Expertise in Credit Risk Analytics or Collections is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Computer Science, or other analytical field; graduates from other fields with relevant knowledge and experience are welcome to apply.
Skills & Competencies
- Hands-on experience using programming (Python, R) to manipulate large data sets for insights.
- Demonstrated proficiency in one or more implementations of SQL (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Display understanding of your domain of interest—whether Finance, Risk, or Product.
- Experience using one or more data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik).
- Experience using Machine Learning tools and techniques in R or Python is a plus.
- Experience creating data visualizations and dashboards with Apache Superset is a bonus.
- Experience in a high-growth startup or unicorn is a bonus.
