Role Purpose
As Senior Contracts Manager, you will oversee all contractual matters from drafting through execution, manage risks effectively, and build robust relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. Your expertise in construction-related contracts will ensure compliance, timely completion, and budget adherence across assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Drafting and Execution
- Take charge of all contractual matters related to assigned projects, from drafting to final execution.
- Ensure proper documentation and closure of contracts upon project completion.
Compliance and Performance Monitoring
- Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and monitor contract performance.
- Monitor performance of contracts to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
Negotiation and Stakeholder Management
- Lead discussions and negotiations with clients and subcontractors regarding contract amendments and variances.
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders to promote effective communication and collaboration.
Risk Management
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect the company's interests.
- Manage risks effectively throughout the contract lifecycle.
Reporting and Claims Management
- Prepare and provide regular progress reports on contractual matters and claims management.
- Resolve disputes and evaluate contract terms.
- Manage amendments and resolve contractual disputes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in contracts management within the construction industry.
- Thorough understanding of contract law and construction agreements.
- Experience in the Middle East construction sector is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Familiarity with contract management software and tools.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Fluency in both English and Arabic is a significant advantage.
Additional Information
- Professional certifications in contract management (such as CCM or CPCM) preferred.
- Awareness of Vision 2030 initiatives and their relevance to infrastructure projects is a plus.
