Role Overview

Senior Biopharmaceutical Representative, Cardio at Amgen in the UAE. This is a sales role focused on promoting Amgen's cardiology products and communicating key messages through collaboration with healthcare partners to serve patients.

Role Purpose

Enhance the promotion of Amgen's products and communicate key messages by collaborating with partners to serve patients, while developing and executing territory and key account plans aligned with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Territory & Account Planning

• Collaborate with manager to develop and implement territory plan of action and key account plans.
• Evaluate progress versus plan monthly and agree to course corrections with manager.
• Operate within the agreed expense budget aligned with plan of action priorities.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Contribute to cluster and territory teams, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Value & Access teams to agree on key account plan objectives and responsibilities.
• Engage with peers, District Manager and cross-functional teams to improve product knowledge.
• Seek inputs and assistance to prioritize activities in a timely fashion and follow up with customers.

Customer Management

• Follow through on customer commitments and requests in a timely fashion.
• Report customer activity in the CRM system and ensure customer profiles are kept up to date.
• Demonstrate an understanding of how retail practices, clinics and hospitals operate.

Knowledge & Performance

• Demonstrate an understanding of industry and healthcare trends.
• Demonstrate an understanding of Amgen Performance for selling platform to satisfy customer and Amgen needs.
• Continuously develop and improve product knowledge, communication and selling skills through self-learning and active participation in agreed training programs.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree.
• Demonstrated experience in the pharmaceutical industry in a sales-related job with track record of success and demonstrated consistency of achieving results.
• Experience in Cardiovascular, Endocrinology or Biotechnology related field is preferred.
• 2–6 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in life science or biomedical sciences is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Fluency in English, both in oral and written communication.
• Experience with computer systems including CRM databases and MS Office.
• Knowledge of Customer Relation Management principles is preferred.
• Time management skills in prioritizing activities and completing work in a timely manner; meet deadlines.
• Hold self-accountable for achieving established goals.
• Exposure to interactions with various fields and organizational levels is preferred.
• Exposure to project management principles is preferred.
• Demonstrated resilience in sophisticated environments is preferred.
• Demonstrated high learning agility is preferred.
