Senior BIM Specialist

Role Overview

Senior BIM Specialist at HILL International for a major infrastructure project. Project duration: 5 months.

Role Purpose

Lead BIM and digital delivery to ensure efficient implementation, model coordination, and compliance with industry standards across all project lifecycle stages.

Key Responsibilities

BIM Implementation & Strategy

• Lead BIM implementation and digital delivery across all project lifecycle stages.
• Establish and maintain BIM standards, procedures, and governance frameworks.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on BIM best practices and digital engineering initiatives.

Model Coordination & Integration

• Oversee multidisciplinary model coordination and integration across engineering disciplines.
• Support design reviews, constructability assessments, clash detection, and project coordination activities.
• Drive integration between BIM, GIS, Digital Twin, and asset information management systems.

Information Management & Governance

• Manage BIM execution plans, information management processes, and Common Data Environment (CDE) requirements.
• Review and approve BIM deliverables from consultants and contractors.

Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders for successful digital project delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in BIM, Digital Engineering, or Information Management on major infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience leading BIM implementation on multidisciplinary projects.
• Experience managing consultant and contractor BIM deliverables and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
• Experience on giga-projects or large-scale infrastructure programs is advantageous.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of BIM standards, information management, and digital delivery processes.
• Familiarity with industry platforms such as Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
• Knowledge of Aconex, ProjectWise, SharePoint, and other CDE platforms is desirable.
• BIM Professional Certification is preferred.
• Autodesk Certified Professional or equivalent certification is an asset.
