Role Purpose

To lead the design, implementation, and integration of airport operational systems that support safe, efficient, and seamless operations while ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance in a 24/7 airport environment.

Key Responsibilities

System Design & Integration

• Lead the design, implementation, and integration of airport operational systems supporting safe, efficient, and seamless operations
• Enable real-time situational awareness by integrating systems across terminal, airside, baggage, security, and flight operations
• Establish strong technical depth across terminal, airfield, and baggage handling systems with the ability to integrate complex, multi-vendor environments

Technology Strategy & Roadmap

• Drive strategic technology roadmaps aligned to airport growth, future capacity, and operational excellence
• Champion the adoption of AI, machine learning, and predictive analytics to improve decision-making, passenger flow, and resource utilization
• Drive digital transformation initiatives, including AI- and ML-enabled solutions, automation, and data-driven decision support

System Reliability & Performance

• Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of critical systems operating in a 24/7 airport environment
• Oversee system lifecycle management including upgrades, migrations, cybersecurity alignment, and compliance

Governance & Compliance

• Establish and maintain standard operating procedures, incident response models, and business continuity plans
• Apply solid grounding in aviation standards, safety, and compliance frameworks (IATA, ICAO, ACI, ITIL)

Stakeholder & Leadership

• Act as a trusted technology leader, partnering with operational teams and senior stakeholders to deliver measurable business outcomes
• Demonstrate strong stakeholder management and communication skills, collaborating across operations, IT, vendors, and leadership
• Bring a forward-looking mindset with passion for innovation, resilience, and continuous improvement in airport operations

Qualifications & Experience

• Extensive experience leading mission-critical airport operational systems across terminals, airfield, and baggage operations
• Proven leadership in delivering large-scale aviation technology implementations in live, 24/7 operational environments
• Deep understanding of passenger experience optimization, self-service technologies, and biometric-enabled journeys

Skills & Competencies

• Strong technical depth across terminal, airfield, and baggage handling systems
• Hands-on experience with AI- and ML-enabled solutions, automation, and data-driven decision support
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Knowledge of aviation standards, safety, and compliance frameworks (IATA, ICAO, ACI, ITIL)
