Role Overview
Sales Manager - Dubai & Northern Emirates at Al Tayer Group, Dubai, UAE. The role monitors sales targets and contributes to the sales plan in the respective region to achieve high levels of sales, profits, and a wide customer base.
Role Purpose
Manage the sales process for Jaguar/Land Rover across Dubai and Northern Emirates, ensuring alignment with regional and brand sales targets while driving profitability, unit sales, and customer acquisition across all showrooms.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Planning & Performance Management
- Communicate sales plan and targets to the sales team in each showroom, providing sufficient inputs, guidance, and motivation
- Provide budgetary inputs and agree on the annual sales plan in alignment with overall Al Tayer Group and Jaguar/Land Rover sales targets, associated budget, and forecast profitability
- Monitor performance against agreed financial parameters and unit numbers, initiating corrective action where necessary
- Review and monitor future sales plan implementation and results achieved on a regular basis in each showroom
- Communicate any changes to the sales plan with General Manager Sales to adapt to unexpected changes in the business environment
Pricing & Marketing Strategy
- Contribute to the development of pricing and stocking policies
- Ensure proper implementation of pricing and stocking policies
- Ensure all teams understand current pricing and marketing activities
- Review all prospects and identify where they were generated from
Sales Operations & Customer Support
- Ensure efficient vehicle ordering and distribution with proper communication with customers in each showroom
- Ensure offer creation is properly prepared, valued, and generated for customers using the appropriate medium required
- Liaise with appropriate internal stakeholders such as Customer Interaction Center to provide customers with efficient sales support
- Ensure proper coordination with sales support team for facilitation of sales processes
Problem Resolution & Stakeholder Management
- Deal with critical problems and major customer complaints or issues escalated from different showrooms in the region
- Ensure prompt action or decisions for timely resolution
- Establish and maintain a network of business contacts and relationships within the market to increase market awareness
- Obtain market and competitor intelligence and customer preference information
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Review reports issued from Autoline periodically to monitor the performance of the business and people
Leadership & Team Development
- Provide leadership and direction to subordinates towards the achievement of goals and objectives
- Guide, motivate, and evaluate subordinates on their performance, productivity, and progress
- Identify training needs of team members to improve efficiency and ensure conformity with standard procedures and practices
- Ensure that team members acquire required skills and knowledge through appropriate training programs, including product and brand-related training
- Identify appropriate gaps and training costs and benefits to ensure budgetary parameters are met
- Identify, develop, and train potential successors for succession planning purposes
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant technical or business-related discipline, with tertiary qualification in sales
- Minimum five to eight years of experience in sales within the automotive industry
