Role Overview

Sales Advisor – Technical Sales at Baker Hughes, based in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

The team holds an extensive portfolio of rotating equipment, process flow, transmission technology and lifecycle services. The Engineering Transformation team works to improve the quality of engineering processes.

Role Purpose

Originate sales by positioning Baker Hughes technology and identifying the best technical and commercial upgrade solutions for brownfield projects. Promote the business value proposition of Baker Hughes technology while managing complex sales processes involving multiple internal and client-side stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Development

  • Originate sales by positioning Baker Hughes technology and identifying the best technical and commercial upgrade solution with brownfield projects.
  • Promote the business value proposition of Baker Hughes technology.
  • Handle important clients for a product line.

Stakeholder Management

  • Work in close cooperation with DTI (Demand to Inquiry, feasibility technical team), regional sales, account sales, commercial and technical proposal staff and functions.
  • Manage complex sales processes requiring involvement of many stakeholders both at the client side and internally.
  • Cooperate with technical colleagues to answer customer requests and discuss local conditions.

Technical Expertise

  • Handle products and systems through mainly rotating machinery and control technical expertise, knowledge of the market and the environment where the products and systems will be used.

Geographic Responsibility

  • Handle Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Engineering Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum 5 additional years of experience in rotating equipment industry (gas and steam turbines, compressors, etc).

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Ability to lead programs and projects.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

  • When assignments are complete, in general, you will not be required to visit the office.
  • You can operate from home and perform basic tasks such as completing previous assignment reports and mobilization-related aspects before taking on your next projects.
