ROV INSPECTOR

Role Overview

ROV Inspector at NMDC Group. This role ensures operational readiness and compliance of remotely operated vehicle (ROV) systems deployed on offshore and onshore vessels.

Role Purpose

To oversee all aspects of ROV system integrity, safety, and performance, from pre-deployment checks through operational monitoring and maintenance, while ensuring compliance with OEM standards, company requirements, and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities

System Compliance & Verification

• Ensure all ROV systems and related survey equipment meet OEM, company, and client requirements.
• Conduct electrical and hydraulic tests to verify system integrity and readiness for operations.
• Conduct pre- and post-mobilization checks, verifying all systems function properly before deployment.

Installation & Commissioning

• Supervise installation, commissioning, and operational readiness of ROV units onboard vessels.
• Execute main lift operations and tether terminations while ensuring adherence to HSE requirements.
• Manage safe mobilization, demobilization, and storage of ROV equipment according to safety protocols.

Documentation & Audit

• Prepare, review, and submit ROV dossiers and audit documentation for client approval.
• Maintain accurate records of ROV operations, inspections, maintenance, and issues.
• Ensure compliance with internal QA/QC standards and submit R006 audit documentation accurately and on time.

Operational Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Monitor ROV operational performance, troubleshooting technical issues and coordinating resolution with relevant departments.
• Monitor inventory and general housekeeping to maintain system readiness and operational efficiency.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Attend client inspections onboard, maintaining professional relationships and ensuring compliance with requirements.

Team Leadership & Development

• Provide guidance and support to ROV operators and technicians, fostering team efficiency and safety.
• Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and recommend improvements for ROV operations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related Engineering discipline, or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in offshore and onshore ROV and offshore vessels operations, including operational and supervisory responsibilities in similar industries.
• IMCA ROV certification.
• ADNOC and ARAMCO approvals preferable.
