Role Purpose

The Room Attendant delivers exceptional guest experiences by maintaining all assigned guest rooms, bathrooms, and corridors to IHG brand standards. The role ensures every space is spotless, well-presented, and guest-ready while collaborating with the housekeeping team to achieve outstanding cleanliness, timely room availability, and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Room Cleaning and Servicing

• Clean and service assigned guest rooms, bathrooms, and corridors to IHG brand standards, ensuring all areas are spotless, well-presented, and guest-ready.
• Change bed linen, make beds, and replenish guest amenities.
• Ensure all room equipment is functioning properly.
• Identify and report any damaged, stained, worn-out, or poor-quality linen, towels, furnishings, equipment, and guest amenities to ensure all rooms meet IHG cleanliness and presentation standards.

Inspections and Maintenance Reporting

• Conduct daily room inspections and promptly report maintenance defects, damage, or safety hazards to the Housekeeping Supervisor.

Guest Service

• Respond efficiently and courteously to guest requests, delivering additional amenities and providing assistance as required.

Inventory and Organization

• Maintain housekeeping carts, linen rooms, and storage areas in a clean, organized, and fully stocked condition.
• Report, record, and submit all lost and found items in accordance with hotel procedures and security requirements.

Team Collaboration

• Collaborate closely with the housekeeping team and other departments to ensure timely room availability, exceptional cleanliness standards, and outstanding guest satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience

• Basic literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to read instructions, complete records, and communicate effectively.

Skills & Competencies

Physical Capability

• Physically fit and able to stand, walk, and move throughout the shift while performing housekeeping duties.
• Capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items up to 23 kg (50 lbs) safely and efficiently.
• Able to bend, kneel, stretch, and perform repetitive movements required for room cleaning and servicing.
