Role Purpose

The Roads Inspector monitors and inspects all phases of road construction activities to ensure adherence to approved drawings, specifications, materials, and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Inspection & Compliance

• Inspect road construction works including excavation, grading, subgrade, GSB, sub-base, basecourse, and asphalt layers.
• Verify compliance with material specifications and test results for soil, aggregates, and asphalt.
• Inspect drainage systems, kerbs, duct banks, utility crossings, and manholes.
• Verify workmanship quality and safety in active road zones.

Safety & Traffic Management

• Monitor traffic management setups and detours to ensure road user safety.

Quality Assurance & Implementation

• Ensure proper implementation of ITPs and QA/QC requirements.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare inspection reports and NCRs.
• Follow up on corrective actions.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Participate in joint inspections with contractors, consultants, and clients.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• 3–7 years of relevant experience in road inspection.
• Strong understanding of road construction materials and specifications.
