Role Overview

Risk Management Specialist at Taiba Hospital, located in the Clinical Quality Department (Job Code: QPS-001, Grade: A1). The role exists to lead hospital-wide risk management, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of safety across the organization.

Role Purpose

Own and operationalize the Hospital-Wide Risk Management Program to protect patients and staff, ensure ongoing compliance with JCI and MOH standards, and drive continuous improvement through data-driven risk assessment and incident management.

Key Responsibilities

Risk Management & Compliance

• Own the Hospital-Wide Risk Management Program and ensure ongoing compliance with JCI and MOH standards.
• Manage the risk register and provide regular, data-driven reports to guide leadership decisions.
• Ensure ≥ 99% timeliness of monthly risk reports.

Incident & Event Management

• Lead investigations of adverse events and near misses.
• Conduct root cause analysis to ensure effective corrective actions.
• Oversee incident and event management protocols across the hospital.
• Conduct initial case reviews and ensure recommendations are implemented.
• Provide progress reports on case review follow-ups.
• Achieve ≥ 95% of incident investigations completed within established target timeframes.

Safety Culture & Education

• Promote a culture of safety through hospital-wide initiatives.
• Lead awareness campaigns and risk education sessions.
• Conduct hospital-wide staff safety surveys.
• Achieve ≥ 90% participation in safety initiatives and training programs.

Quality Improvement

• Partner with medical and operations teams to apply quality improvement tools including FMEA and FOCUS-PDCA.
• Champion improvement initiatives across departments.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred) or a related medical or health field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a hospital or clinical risk management.
• Strong knowledge of patient safety, incident reporting protocols, and JCI standards.
