RIGGING SUPERVISOR

Role Overview

Rigging Supervisor at NMDC Group, based in Offshore Operations.

Role Purpose

Supervise rigging crews and operations, ensuring safe and efficient execution of work while developing subordinate craftspeople and maintaining site safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Work Execution

• Demonstrate work methods and perform critical tasks when subordinates lack the skill or experience to execute them safely and effectively.
• Make sketches for instructional purposes.
• Supervise work progress and safeguard against waste of materials and man-hours.

Team Management & Development

• Participate in the training and development of subordinates.
• Monitor attendance and punctuality of crew members.

Equipment & Resources

• Ensure subordinates are properly equipped for their work.
• Monitor that equipment issued or allocated is correctly used and maintained in a safe and effective manner.

Safety & Compliance

• Maintain responsibility for site safety for both crew and others requiring access to the site.

Employee Relations

• Investigate grievances from subordinates to determine the real cause of difficulties and handle them appropriately.

Qualifications & Experience

• 8–10 years of experience in rigging activities within the offshore oil industry.

Skills & Competencies

• Good standard of written and spoken English.
• All offshore safety training requirements.
