Rides Technician

Role Overview

Rides Technician at Miral Destinations, responsible for the maintenance and safe operation of rides, attractions and leisure facilities within the Technical Services Rides Department.

Role Purpose

To ensure smooth and efficient operation of Miral Experiences Leisure Facilities by performing all necessary maintenance to preserve and improve the physical functionality, safety and appearance of rides, attractions and facilities, directly impacting guest satisfaction and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations & Maintenance

• Perform daily checks, start-up and closing procedures for all rides and attractions.
• Conduct Preventive and Corrective Maintenance for all rides and attractions.
• Ensure rides and attractions are ready and operational before park opening in accordance with operational hours.

Safety & Compliance

• Maintain and ensure that all rides and attractions are safe for colleagues and guests.
• Report and inform Team Leaders of any issues and concerns that affect the safe operation of rides and attractions.
• Ensure all Preventive Maintenance Checklists are completed and submitted to Team Leader by deadline.

Issue Resolution & Performance Optimization

• Respond to and resolve calls regarding downtime of rides and attractions.
• Reduce downtime by ensuring all Preventive Maintenance activities are performed according to manufacturers' requirements.
• Perform Corrective Maintenance well and eliminate recurrence of issues.

Professional Development

• Attend briefing, training and development programs for personal growth.

Qualifications & Experience

• Electrical or Mechanical Diploma (essential).
• 3+ years of experience in the maintenance field (essential).
• Capable of reading and understanding operations and maintenance manuals for all rides and attractions (essential).
• Experience reading drawings, schematic diagrams, hydraulic drawings and diagrams (essential).
• Experience in troubleshooting and solving issues with rides and attractions (essential).
• Good English speaking and writing abilities (essential).
• Physical fitness (essential).
• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical course (desirable).
• Technical education or training from a vocational training institute in field of expertise (desirable).
• 4+ years of ride-related experience in a Theme Park or Amusement Industry maintaining rides and attractions (desirable).

Skills & Competencies

• Willing to learn and develop skills and knowledge in electrical and mechanical aspects.
• Capable of working in environments with temperatures ranging from adequate to extreme.
• Capable of working in hazardous conditions caused by noise, chemicals, dust and similar exposures.
