Rides Technician

Role Overview

Rides Technician at Miral Destinations in the Technical Services Rides Department. This role ensures smooth and efficient operation of Miral Experiences Leisure Facilities and directly impacts the maintenance of rides, facilities and attractions.

Role Purpose

Provide all necessary maintenance required for preserving and improving the physical functionality, safety and appearance of all rides and attractions in order to ensure Guest satisfaction and safe operation across the park.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Operations & Maintenance

• Perform daily checks, start-up and closing procedures for all rides and attractions.
• Ensure rides and attractions readiness before park opening in accordance with operational hours.
• Maintain and ensure that all rides and attractions are safe for all colleagues and guests.

Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

• Perform Preventive and Corrective Maintenance for all rides and attractions.
• Reduce downtime in rides and attractions by ensuring all Preventive Maintenance activities are performed according to manufacturers' requirements.
• Ensure that all Preventive Maintenance Checklists are completed and submitted to Team Leader on deadline.
• Ensure that all Corrective Maintenance is performed well and steps are taken to eliminate recurrence.

Issue Resolution & Reporting

• Respond and resolve calls of downtime of rides and attractions.
• Report and inform Team Leaders regarding issues and concerns that affect the safe operation of all rides and attractions.

Development

• Attend briefing, training and development programs for personal growth.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

• Electrical or Mechanical Diploma.
• 3 or more years in maintenance field.
• Expert in at least one of the following fields: Electrical or Mechanical.
• Experience in reading drawings, schematic diagrams, hydraulic drawings and diagrams.
• Experience in troubleshooting and solving issues with rides and attractions.

Desirable

• Degree in any electrical, mechanical or electro-mechanical course.
• Technical education or training in vocational training institute in field of expertise.
• 4 or more years' ride-related experience in a Theme Park or Amusement Industry maintaining rides and attractions.

Skills & Competencies

• Good English speaking and writing abilities.
• Physical fitness.
• Capable of reading and understanding operations and maintenance manuals of all rides and attractions.
• Willing to learn and develop skills and knowledge by engaging in work in either electrical or mechanical aspects.
• Capable to work in environment where temperatures are adequate to extreme, with some hazardous conditions caused by noise, chemicals and dust.
