Role Overview
Retail Merchandiser at Hermès Paris, Dubai. Reports to the Retail Merchandising Manager within Hermès Middle East LLC.

Role Purpose
Support the development of analytical insights, business performance reviews, and merchandising strategies to maximize business opportunities and growth potential in close cooperation with the Retail Merchandising Manager, Store Teams, and Paris Headquarters. Achieve regional sales targets, ensure coherent and differentiated product offering across stores, and monitor effective stock management.
Key Responsibilities
Market and Category Expertise
- Conduct frequent store visits to develop product expertise, analyze store feedback, and identify market trends
- Share relevant qualitative and quantitative insights supported by detailed analysis to identify business opportunities and highlight potential risks
- Work closely with department managers in defining action plans to achieve departmental targets
- Contribute to the success of animations and events by ensuring appropriate product assortment, coordinating with Central Planning on deliveries, collaborating on Visual Merchandising plans, and providing tools to support the retail team
Assortment Strategy and Buying
- Produce analyses and support tools; recommend budget split by category and product line for pre-buying preparation
- Support stores during buying to ensure coherent and customer-focused assortment, maintaining strong balance between novelties and bestsellers
- Monitor PSI and replenishment in collaboration with the Merchandising Manager
- Coordinate with Visual Merchandising and store teams to support seasonal launches
Performance Reporting
- Monitor sales performance and generate analyses using NeoBi and Cegid
- Produce monthly performance reports and update sell-through and picture reports to share with relevant stakeholders
- Analyze best sellers by sell-through, assortment mix, price points, colours, and sizes to maximize sales potential
Stock Management and Performance Optimization
- Monitor and place reorders in line with target MOS and inventory levels
- Ensure optimal regional inventory levels and stock efficiency through stock transfers and replenishment actions
- Coordinate with Visual Merchandising and store teams to highlight slow movers
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Share, implement, and adapt Europe strategy within the subsidiary while bringing forward best practices from the community
- Work closely with the Métiers to implement strategies locally and achieve growth ambitions
- Serve as key liaison between Stores and Métiers, ensuring effective communication of feedback and key information
- Partner with store managers, métier ambassadors, and Visual Merchandising teams
Qualifications & Experience
- 3–4 years of experience in Retail Merchandising or Buying with understanding of Visual Merchandising
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical skills and solid knowledge of merchandising KPIs and metrics
- Proficient with Excel and IT tools including Pivot tables and Vlookup
- Proficient with Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively with retail and corporate teams
- Highly organized, reliable, and strong team player
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Business-oriented mindset, proactive and solution-driven with ability to propose new ideas
