Role Overview
Retail & Lifestyle Vertical Manager at Maersk. This role leads sales strategy development and execution for a cluster, geographic area, or trade-lane, overseeing a local sales team to deliver business objectives and targets.
Role Purpose
Develop and execute localized sales strategies across customer segments while leading a sales team to achieve business targets and maintain strong relationships with key accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
- Create, articulate, and drive local strategies for different customer segments.
- Leverage understanding of the local business environment to support development of the sales strategy.
- Oversee forecasting and budgeting processes to align with business goals.
Account & Relationship Management
- Maintain senior relationships with top accounts.
- Make joint sales calls with sales representatives and channel managers.
- Ensure optimal activity management and account management to truly understand customers and their needs.
Sales Execution
- Drive campaigns to generate a healthy pipeline and yield.
Qualifications & Experience
- Professional with over 5 years of experience as a Sales Manager in the logistics industry.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
- Exceptional skills in stakeholder management.
- Proficient in software tools, including CRMs, Excel, and Power BI.
