Role Overview

Respiratory Therapist at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Ajman (SKMCA).

Role Purpose

Provide skilled respiratory care to patients of all ages—from infants to the elderly—across a variety of healthcare settings within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Treatment

• Deliver specialized respiratory care within established standards.
• Assess, treat, and monitor patients requiring respiratory support including those in intensive care units.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment and patient education plans.
• Administer oxygen therapy, chest physiotherapy, aerosol medications, and manage ventilators.

Diagnostic & Clinical Support

• Conduct diagnostic tests such as lung capacity and blood gas analysis.

Collaboration & Communication

• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams on care planning and clinical decisions.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment techniques and preventive care.

Operations & Compliance

• Maintain accurate records and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of respiratory equipment.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant clinical experience in reputable healthcare facilities.
