Role Overview

Reservations Agent at InterContinental Ras Al Khaimah Mina Al Arab Resort & Spa, operated by IHG Hotels and Resorts. The resort is located on Hayat Island, less than an hour from Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Role Purpose

As a Reservations Agent, you will be one of the first points of contact for guests, helping them plan their stay with confidence. You will handle reservations and enquiries while providing prompt, friendly and accurate service to maximize booking opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Reservations Management

  • Handle individual and group reservations, amendments and cancellations through the hotel's reservation system.
  • Process reservations received through travel agencies, wholesalers, sales teams and reservation centres.
  • Maintain accurate reservation records, daily logs and reports while following hotel standards and procedures.

Guest Communication

  • Respond to guest enquiries by phone and other communication channels in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Provide information about the resort, its facilities, local attractions and travel directions.
  • Deliver prompt, friendly and accurate service to guests.

Revenue Optimization

  • Upsell rooms and recommend suitable options to help maximize occupancy and room revenue.

Coordination & Updates

  • Keep up to date with room rates, promotions, packages and hotel information to provide guests with accurate details.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Front Office and other departments to ensure reservation details and guest requirements are communicated correctly.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous experience in Reservations or Front Office, preferably within a hotel or resort environment.
  • Good reading, writing and basic maths skills.

Skills & Competencies

  • Good communication skills with a warm, professional and guest-focused approach.
  • Fluent English, with additional languages considered an advantage.
  • Confidence using computers and entering reservation information accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple guest requests efficiently.
  • Positive team-player attitude and the ability to communicate effectively with guests, colleagues and other departments.
