Repair and Maintenance Specialist II - Logging While Drilling Services (LWD) at Weatherford UAE. The role is primarily workshop-based with potential requirement to attend client locations when R&M tasks must carry over field operations.

Role Purpose

Assist with the development of reliability-based maintenance strategy for LWD product line equipment, working directly with the Maintenance Manager to build a reliable system and maintenance team. Troubleshoot, repair, refurbish, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance of field equipment and tools to mitigate non-productive time and improve overall field service delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities

Advanced Repairs and Maintenance

• Perform advanced repairs and maintenance on LWD tools and systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
• Conduct thorough troubleshooting and diagnostics on LWD equipment, utilizing both manual and computerized methods.
• Execute and plan preventive and corrective maintenance activities on field equipment.
• Implement mandatory modifications on equipment.

Maintenance Planning and Strategy

• Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and procedures.
• Work with Repair and Maintenance Technicians to schedule workload.
• Participate in project planning and execution, providing input on equipment selection and maintenance strategies.
• Support the design and improvement of LWD equipment and tools by providing feedback and insights based on field experiences.

Field Support and Training

• Collaborate with field personnel to provide on-site technical support and training as needed.
• Mentor and train junior technicians and other team members.
• Attend client locations to perform R&M duties when necessary to carry over field operations.

Compliance and Safety

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.

Continuous Improvement

• Stay updated on technological advancements in LWD systems and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• High Diploma with relevant experience.
• 3–5 years of related experience on repairing and troubleshooting LWD Sensors and DS Tools.
