Renewables Engineer (UAE Nationals Only) with DNV (Det Norske Veritas), based in Dubai, UAE.

The Energy Systems group helps customers navigate the complex transition to a decarbonized and more sustainable energy future by assuring that energy systems work safely and effectively using increasingly digital solutions. We also help industries and governments navigate complex, interrelated transitions taking place globally and regionally in the energy industry.
Role Purpose
Provide technical consulting services and support business development activities for DNV's Renewables department in the SEMELA region. Support the technical team in delivering services to existing customers and assist bid managers in preparing proposals for the Middle East market.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Services and Project Support
- Work with technical professionals in the Energy Systems group to provide technical consulting services.
- Learn technical aspects of solar PV, BESS and wind plants through involvement in projects.
- Support the technical team in delivering services to existing customers.
Business Development and Sales
- Support business development activities and bid managers preparing proposals in the Middle East.
- Contribute to proposal preparation working cohesively within the department.
- Support formatting word documents and preparing power point presentations.
- Assist with elements of business development, marketing and sales supporting responsibilities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mathematical, Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized university.
- Related work experience or interest in renewables, power generation, power system design, or related field with a primarily electrical or civil engineering capacity will be an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent command of the English language; Arabic, French, and Spanish languages are an advantage.
- Good quantitative and analytical skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good presentation skills.
- Positive attitude and open mindset.
- Team-oriented individual.
