Role Overview

Relationship Officer Business Account Acquisition at RAK BANK. The role facilitates the end-to-end account opening process for Business Banking customers while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and service level agreements.

Role Purpose

To review account opening documentation, conduct due diligence, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure a seamless onboarding experience for business clients.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Onboarding & Account Opening

• Process business account opening applications accurately and within agreed turnaround times.
• Review account opening forms and supporting documents to ensure completeness and compliance.
• Verify trade licenses, constitutional documents, shareholder information, and authorized signatory details.
• Ensure all customer onboarding requirements are fulfilled prior to account activation.
• Liaise with Relationship Managers, Sales Teams, and clients to obtain missing documentation or clarifications.

Compliance & Due Diligence

• Perform Know Your Customer (KYC), Customer Due Diligence (CDD), and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) checks where applicable.
• Ensure adherence to AML (Anti-Money Laundering), Sanctions Screening, FATCA, CRS, and regulatory requirements.
• Escalate high-risk cases and exceptional approvals to relevant compliance and risk teams.
• Maintain accurate customer records and ensure periodic updates as required.
