Refrigeration Trailer Technician

Role Overview

Refrigeration Trailer Technician at Matar Al Baqmi Holding Company. This role involves inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining refrigeration units installed on refrigerated trailers (reefers).

Role Purpose

To ensure refrigerated trailers and their refrigeration systems operate safely and reliably through preventive and corrective maintenance, systematic diagnosis, and timely repair of mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration faults.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Service

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on refrigerated trailers and refrigeration units.
• Conduct routine service activities including oil and filter changes.
• Repair refrigerant leaks and recharge systems.

Diagnostics & Repair

• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration system faults.
• Inspect compressors, condensers, evaporators, fans, sensors, and control systems.
• Use diagnostic tools and software to identify equipment issues.
• Read electrical schematics and troubleshoot control systems.

Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain repair and inspection records.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Technical Certification in Refrigeration, HVAC, Mechanical, or Electrical Technology.
• 2–5 years of related experience.
• Experience with Thermo King or Carrier Transicold units preferred.
