Role Overview
Reception Manager β Chinese Restaurant at Wynn Al Marjan Island, located in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, approximately 50 miles from Dubai International Airport.
Company Overview
Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the first integrated resort in the UAE, opening in 2027. The resort will feature 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants, lounges, and bars, a theater, and a beach club. Facilities include multiple swimming and wading pools, water features, a five-star spa, a salon, a shopping promenade, and a celebrations and events center.
Role Purpose
Lead reception operations for the Chinese Restaurant, managing guest arrivals, reservations, and VIP experiences while delivering personalized, luxury service aligned with Wynn and Forbes Travel Guide standards. Coach and develop the reception team to consistently exceed guest expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Personalization
- Proactively manage pre-arrival guest communication, reservations, preferences, special requests, and VIP arrangements.
- Review guest profiles and histories to anticipate individual needs and deliver personalized service.
- Deliver a warm, polished, and personalized arrival experience aligned with Wynn and Forbes Travel Guide standards.
- Personally recognize and manage VIP, repeat, and high-profile guests, ensuring a seamless handover to the service team.
- Capture guest preferences and feedback, support service recovery and post-visit follow-up, and use insights to continuously improve the guest experience.
Operations & Reservations
- Oversee reservations, waitlists, walk-ins, and queue management through systems such as SevenRooms.
- Collaborate with floor and culinary teams to optimize seating flow, occupancy, and guest waiting times.
Events & Coordination
- Coordinate special occasions and VIP experiences with management, culinary, and service teams.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, schedule, coach, and develop the reception team in guest engagement, conflict resolution, system proficiency, and Forbes service standards.
- Conduct daily briefings on reservations, VIPs, special requests, and service pacing while reinforcing anticipatory, guest-centric service.
Qualifications & Experience
- At least 3β5 years of hands-on experience managing reception or front-of-house operations in a high-end restaurant, luxury hotel, or hospitality setting.
- Demonstrated fluency in English, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, employees, and management at all times.
- Advanced proficiency in an additional language such as Arabic, Russian, French, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, or Italian is highly valued to enhance guest interactions and support a diverse clientele.
- Background in international hospitality environments or multicultural reception teams is preferred, showcasing adaptability and global service standards.
- Experience with Forbes Travel Guide 5-Star service standards and familiarity with SevenRooms is preferred.
