Role Overview
Radiology Technique Specialist at Nahdi, performing diagnostic radiographs, equipment maintenance, and radiology request processing in a clinic setting.
Role Purpose
Deliver high-quality diagnostic radiographs while maintaining equipment and facilities to the highest standards, ensuring patient safety, radiation protection, and strict compliance with clinic regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Preparation & Care
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures by positioning and adjusting immobilization devices.
- Move equipment into specified position and adjust equipment controls to set exposure factors.
- Gain patient cooperation by reducing anxieties, providing explanations of treatment, and answering questions.
Radiation Protection & Quality Assurance
- Minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, and applying patient shielding.
- Maintain production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures.
- Develop radiographs, observe radiographic results, and make necessary adjustments.
Equipment & Facility Maintenance
- Perform daily maintenance of x-ray equipment and room.
- Perform daily maintenance of x-ray film processor.
- Handle processing of radiology requests, radiology reports, and x-ray films.
Safety & Compliance
- Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies.
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Ensure strict compliance with all rules and regulations that apply to the clinic.
Professional Development
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Applied Medical Science β Radiology section.
- 2 years of practical experience following graduation.
Skills & Competencies
- Office and Health Information System.
- English and Arabic fluent speaking and writing.
Additional Information
- Work Environment: 100% indoors, 0% outdoors.
- Working Pattern: 6 working days per week, 1 day off.
- Working Hours: 8 net working hours according to shift schedule approved by head of department.
- The employee's duties are not limited to the above-mentioned accountabilities; the manager may assign other duties based on business need.
