Role Overview
Quality Inspector at Baker Hughes, Turbomachinery & Process Solutions business. This role performs specialized product testing and inspection of energy industry components, including receipt, dimensional, visual, and non-destructive testing inspection activities.

Role Purpose
Perform complete product inspection across receiving, in-process assembly, and final acceptance stages for Gas Turbine Components, Rotors, Centrifugal Compressor Rotors, and Steam Turbine Rotors. Ensure all components conform to established inspection criteria and regulatory standards before release to customers.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection & Testing
- Perform complete inspection including receiving, part number/serial number recording, visual inspection, dimensional inspection, and PT/UT inspection.
- Perform visual, dimensional, and other inspection as per drawing and specification requirements.
- Conduct assembly (in-process) and final acceptance inspections on Gas Turbine Components, Rotors, Centrifugal Compressor Rotors, and Steam Turbine Rotors.
- Report inspection data and findings in accordance with established inspection criteria.
Non-Conformance Management
- Raise NCR and reject material disposition cases for nonconforming product.
- Coordinate with production personnel for control of nonconforming product.
- Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming product in holding area until resolution.
- Perform inspection and prepare inspection reports for non-conformance product with NCR and Hold tag documentation.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Conduct periodic inspection and calibration of all measuring instruments and testing equipment.
- Ensure calibrations are current and conform to all applicable Baker Hughes standards and regulations.
- Assure that required preliminary, progressive, and final inspections are properly performed.
- Ensure proper inspection records, reports, and forms are properly executed prior to releasing product.
Continuous Improvement
- Actively participate in root cause analysis for identification of root cause and CAPA actions.
Safety & Environment
- Perform all work activities in accordance with safety and environmental standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Engineering or High School Certificate with related experience.
- Five years' experience of inspection in Gas Turbine repair shop or service organization.
- Capable to interpret engineering drawings.
- Previous experience in Gas Turbine component repair industry is preferred.
- Previous experience in ASNT Level II in NDT methods (PT, UT, and RT) is preferred.
