QA/QC Manager-CCGT

Role Overview

QA/QC Manager for a greenfield Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) project with Al Jomaih Energy and Water, located in Taweelah, Abu Dhabi, UAE, approximately 30–40 km from Abu Dhabi city. Contract duration is approximately 2.5 years.

Company Overview

Al Jomaih Energy and Water is developing a greenfield CCGT project with a net power capacity of 2400 MW, including ancillary equipment, associated infrastructure, facilities, and Electrical Special Facilities (ESF), located approximately 50 km north-east of Abu Dhabi city.

Role Purpose

Control quality and procedures during CCGT project execution across the full lifecycle—from design and engineering through construction and operation—within a dynamic and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Procedures and Documentation

• Develop QA/QC procedures for CCGT project execution in accordance with PPA, EPC Contract, and ISO standards.
• Review quality documents, MSRA, ITP, inspection checklists, and procedures submitted by the EPC Contractor.

Inspection and Monitoring

• Lead QA/QC engineers to monitor and inspect EPC Contractor quality works for all civil works, mechanical, and electrical components as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Highlight quality-related issues to the construction team and provide technical advice.

Project Support

• Execute other tasks assigned by Project Manager or Director for project schedule controls.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with CCGT Power Plants.
• GCC experience is advantageous.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in MS Office and general software knowledge.
• Understanding of International Codes and Standards including ASME, API, and IEEE.
• Knowledge of rules and regulations.
• Strong leadership presence.
• Interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate with EPC contractors and internal departments.
