Role Overview

QA/QC Architectural Engineer at alfanar Building Systems. The role is responsible for controlling and monitoring the quality of all architectural works, ensuring compliance with approved architectural drawings, specifications, material submittals, method statements, mockups, ITPs, approved samples, and project quality requirements.

Role Purpose

Control and monitor the quality of architectural works across all phases, from material inspection through final handover. Ensure full compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project quality standards while coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Inspection & Monitoring

• Inspect architectural works and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Monitor the quality of architectural works including blockwork, plastering, finishes, flooring, stone and marble, painting, drywall, ceilings, doors, façade and cladding, waterproofing interfaces, and fit-out works.
• Verify delivered materials, mockups, and samples against approved requirements.
• Maintain finishing tolerance and workmanship requirements.

Documentation & Records

• Review architectural drawings, specifications, material submittals, method statements, ITPs, and approved samples.
• Prepare and review WIR/MIR, inspection checklists, ITPs, and quality documentation.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, test reports, approved samples, and quality documentation.
• Provide periodic reports detailing deviation and execution of planned tasks.

Compliance & Corrective Action

• Identify non-conforming works, raise NCRs and SORs, and follow up on corrective and rectification actions.
• Ensure architectural works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and ITPs.
• Comply with related policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Monitor subcontractor workmanship and ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
• Coordinate with Site, Construction, Technical Office, Procurement, and Consultant teams on quality and inspection matters.
• Participate in mockup, consultant and client inspections, snagging, de-snagging, and final handover activities.

Process Improvement & Problem-Solving

• Solve problems that arise and escalate any complex operational issues.
• Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, and seek automation opportunities.
• Develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products, processes, or related activities.
• Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
• Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor in Architectural Engineering or any relevant field.
• 2 to 5 years of experience.
