Role Overview
Project QC Manager at Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory (a subsidiary of Ali & Sons Holding LLC), located in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Role Purpose
Lead and manage all project quality control activities, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, regulatory standards, client specifications, and company Quality Management Systems. Drive quality performance across projects, manage QC teams, and serve as the primary focal point for quality-related matters with clients and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Planning & Documentation
- Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and quality procedures in line with contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure effective implementation of the Project Quality Plan and achievement of intended quality outcomes.
- Monitor project quality records and ensure proper documentation, traceability, and reporting.
Quality Performance & Oversight
- Establish and monitor project-specific Quality Objectives, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure proactive quality surveillance and inspection activities throughout all phases of project execution.
- Report to the QA/QC Manager and Project Management Team (PMT) on project quality performance, trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, and contractual quality requirements.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure audit findings are addressed effectively.
Non-Conformity & Issue Resolution
- Investigate non-conformities and oversee corrective and preventive actions to eliminate root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Ensure timely resolution and close-out of NCRs, observations, and quality-related issues.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, manage, and develop the project Quality Control team to achieve project quality objectives.
- Provide guidance and support to Construction Management Teams (CMT) on quality control requirements and best practices.
- Promote quality awareness and continuous improvement throughout the project team.
Stakeholder & Client Engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact with clients on all quality control matters related to the project.
- Maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders regarding quality performance and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate inspections, audits, and surveillance activities involving clients, third-party inspectors, and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree, Diploma, or Professional Training Certification in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum 20 years of Quality Control experience.
- Prior experience as Project QC Manager on major Oil & Gas, EPC, Fabrication, Construction, or Marine projects.
- Lead Auditor ISO 9001 certification is mandatory.
