Role Overview
Project Manager at HILL International. This is a leadership position responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of large-scale infrastructure and development projects from initiation through completion.
Role Purpose
Manage the development, implementation, and delivery of complex projects on time, within scope, and within budget. Coordinate internal resources and external vendors to ensure flawless execution while maintaining safety, quality, and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Scope Management
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and objectives aligned with organizational goals.
- Define project scopes and objectives in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders.
- Verify technical feasibility of project scope and deliverables.
- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Risk & Performance Management
- Analyze project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and control project progress and performance against established baselines.
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
- Identify and resolve project issues as they arise.
- Monitor project costs and ensure cost efficiency throughout execution.
Stakeholder & Resource Coordination
- Coordinate internal resources and third-party vendors for flawless project execution.
- Ensure resource availability and allocation to support project delivery.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and team members to ensure project objectives are met.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
Reporting & Escalation
- Provide regular reports on project progress and performance to management.
- Report and escalate issues to management as needed.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with project safety and quality standards.
- Inform themselves of relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures in place within HILL International.
- Ensure continued compliance with these requirements while employed by HILL International.
- Implement a zero accident philosophy on all projects.
General Administration
- Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager or supervisor.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure or city development projects.
- Extensive experience in project management of water and wastewater works.
- Experience with major government and semi-government program and project implementations.
- Proven track record of successful project management.
- Record of engagement with government entities and utility providers.
- Experience implementing a zero accident philosophy.
