Project Manager - Omani Nationals

Role Overview

ProgressSoft seeks a Project Manager for Omani Nationals to perform in a dual role as Project Manager and Business Analyst. This position is based in Oman.

Role Purpose

Manage IT projects and business requirements across the full project lifecycle, from ideation through post-production support. Serve as liaison between business units, technology teams, and support teams to deliver project outcomes on schedule with high quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

• Plan, coordinate, and manage projects and resources from ideation through post-production support.
• Manage a variety of IT projects and report to the Project Management Office.
• Work with clients, stakeholders, senior executives, the project team, functional and IT SMEs to ensure project deliverables are achieved on schedule with high quality and customer satisfaction.
• Be the liaison between business units, technology teams, and support teams; support the project through implementation and post-project support.
• Participate in requirements prioritization and solution risk analysis.
• Collaborate with developers and end-users to ensure application functionality meets client needs, test solutions, problem-solve issues, and coordinate enhancements.

Business Analysis & Requirements

• Elicit, analyze, validate, verify, and facilitate testing of business process solutions and requirements of the project.
• Write requirements specifications according to standard templates and tools.
• Decompose high-level business needs into structured requirements, use cases, user stories and scenarios, business rules, functional and non-functional requirements with sufficient detail to satisfy the needs of the business, developers, and testers.
• Lead requirements elicitation, analysis, and verification, ensuring requirement statements are complete, consistent, concise, comprehensible, traceable, feasible, unambiguous, and verifiable and conform to standards.
• Develop Business Requirements Document and represent requirements using alternative views, such as analysis models (diagrams), prototypes, scenarios, and wireframes where appropriate.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Facilitate user acceptance testing and draft UAT test plans; ensure test data is available and draft test cases.
• Participate in testing and quality assurance processes.

Stakeholder & Technical Collaboration

• Work collaboratively and effectively with team members.
• Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in IT Technical Fields, Project Management, and Business Analysis.
• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree required.
• Banking experience required; knowledge of payment systems is a significant plus.
• Experience in working with data warehouses, databases, and integrations is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent communication skills in written, verbal, and presentation formats.
• Excellent command of the English language (speaking, writing, and presentation).
• Executive-level interpersonal relationship building, collaboration, and facilitation skills.
• Solid understanding and application of various project management and business process improvement methodologies, techniques, and tools.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies, such as SDLC and Agile.
• Essential skills in data mapping and analysis, gap analysis, and system analysis.
• Solid understanding of business analysis and process improvement best practices and ability to apply them in practice.
• Strong personal time management skills and ability to meet individual and team deadlines.

Additional Information

• PMP and CBAP certifications are preferred.
