Role Purpose

Lead all engineering activities for major Oil & Gas projects, managing multidisciplinary engineering teams, coordinating with clients and project stakeholders, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality engineering deliverables, and maintaining compliance with ADNOC specifications, international standards, and project quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and manage all engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality engineering deliverables.
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams comprising Structural, Piping, Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation Engineers and Designers.
• Provide technical leadership during project execution, commissioning support, and project close-out activities.
• Monitor engineering resource utilization and support manpower planning for ongoing and future projects.

Document & Design Management

• Manage the preparation, review, and approval of engineering documents developed in-house, by subcontractors, or received from clients.
• Review and approve design requests, design input documents, design development plans, design verification and validation documents, design outputs, and engineering change notices.
• Establish and maintain engineering document control systems, revision management, and document traceability throughout the project lifecycle.

Stakeholder Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, classification societies, and third-party agencies on engineering and design matters.
• Establish effective communication between project stakeholders to resolve technical queries and engineering issues.
• Provide technical guidance and engineering support to Procurement, Construction, QA/QC, Planning, and Project Management teams.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure engineering deliverables comply with project specifications, ADNOC standards, international codes, and company procedures.
• Ensure engineering activities meet project quality objectives and implement corrective actions where required.
• Ensure compliance with the company's Quality Management System, Engineering Procedures, and QHSE requirements.

Technical Review & Risk Management

• Coordinate design reviews, constructability reviews, HAZOP/HAZID support, and multidisciplinary engineering interface meetings.
• Support project risk assessments and identify engineering solutions to minimize technical and commercial risks.

Planning & Performance Monitoring

• Monitor engineering progress against project schedules and support project execution teams to achieve project milestones.

Continuous Improvement

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Engineering Department to enhance productivity, quality, and project delivery.
• Perform additional responsibilities assigned by Engineering Management to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (B.E., B.Tech., or B.Sc. Engineering) in Mechanical, Structural, Electrical, Civil, or a related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of multidisciplinary engineering experience within Oil & Gas EPC, fabrication, modular construction, or industrial projects, including leadership of engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC specifications, international engineering codes and standards, engineering design processes, multidisciplinary coordination, and project execution.
• Extensive understanding of engineering design management, document control, multidisciplinary engineering coordination, fabrication engineering, project execution, and quality management systems.

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent leadership, project coordination, stakeholder management, problem-solving, planning, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and engineering design/document management systems.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, SmartPlant, AVEVA, E3D, or other engineering software is an advantage.
