Project Engineer

Role Overview

Project Engineer at Applus+ supporting the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing all technical aspects of CCTV Sewer Inspection Projects.

Role Purpose

The Project Engineer ensures compliance with contract requirements, project specifications, quality standards, and HSE requirements while coordinating technical activities between field teams, client representatives, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• Prepare and review technical submittals, reports, and work plans.
• Maintain project documentation and records.
• Review drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

Planning & Coordination

• Coordinate daily engineering activities.
• Support planning and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with client and arrange inspection plan.
• Liaise with field teams.
• Coordinate engineering activities with project teams.

Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor project schedule and productivity.
• Support quantity tracking and progress reporting.
• Monitor work progress and quality.

Technical Management

• Assist in inspections and technical meetings.
• Resolve technical issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Raise technical queries and recommend corrective actions.
• Review and recommend approval of technical documents.
• Stop and report unsafe or non-compliant engineering activities.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in sewer networks, CCTV inspection, infrastructure, or utility projects.
• Experience with NWC or similar utility projects is preferred.
• Good knowledge of project documentation, Method Statements, and technical reporting.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related Engineering discipline.

Skills & Competencies

• Fluent English communication.
• Microsoft Office.
• AutoCAD and project documentation.
• Strong coordination, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) is preferred.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on compliance and quality.
• Demonstrates initiative and problem-solving capabilities under pressure.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-coordination skills.

Additional Information

• Valid Saudi driving license preferred, given regular travel across project sites.
