Project Engineer

Role Overview

Project Engineer at Flowserve. This role develops new products, technologies, and customer-specific solutions while coordinating daily local order fulfillment activities on assigned projects.

Role Purpose

Act as the primary point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders to deliver project execution, engineering analysis, mechanical design, and operations support from conception through completion.

Key Responsibilities

Customer & Stakeholder Management

• Act as single point of contact for customers.
• Communicate with customers in a timely, professional, and clear manner.
• Coordinate and participate in contractor site visits and arrange contractor quotes as required.
• Able to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of employees, customers, and business groups globally.

Project Execution & Monitoring

• Proactively monitor project schedule, costs, risks, and deliverables; develop contingency plans as necessary.
• Responsible for project execution to establish schedule, monitor project margin erosion, and ensure financial milestones during the course of the project are met in a timely manner.
• Ensure project specifications are understood and being complied with during the course of the project.

Engineering & Design Support

• Develop new products, technologies, and customer-specific solutions.
• Provide quotation support and routine engineering analysis.
• Perform detailed layout and mechanical design.
• Support shipping documentation as necessary.
• Provide operations support.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in pump development, design, and package execution.
• Strong knowledge in pumps.
• Industrial experience in development and design.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor).
• Knowledge of ANSYS (CFD, FEA) is a plus.
• Understanding of engineering documentation, drafting, geometric dimensioning, and tolerancing.
• Effective verbal and written communications.
• Collaborative team player and self-starter capable of working under minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement processes is a plus.
• Relevant experience with SAP/ERP systems is preferable.
