Project Dimensional Controller at Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory, a subsidiary of Ali & Sons Holding LLC, located at ICAD II, Mussafah, Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Role Purpose
Ensure dimensional accuracy and compliance of fabricated and installed components throughout the project lifecycle. Perform dimensional inspections, measurement control, and reporting while coordinating with Engineering, Production, and QA/QC teams.
Key Responsibilities
Dimensional Inspection & Verification
- Perform dimensional inspections of fabricated components, assemblies, piping spools, structures, and equipment in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Verify dimensions, tolerances, elevations, alignments, and orientations at various stages of fabrication and installation.
- Ensure dimensional compliance prior to welding, assembly, coating, dispatch, and installation.
- Support dimensional verification and inspection activities during fabrication and erection.
Drawing & Documentation Review
- Review IFC drawings, isometric drawings, GA drawings, and sketches to identify dimensional requirements.
- Prepare dimensional inspection and control reports and maintain accurate measurement records.
- Prepare and provide as-built dimensional information and reports for client submission.
Control Systems & Coordination
- Establish and maintain project coordinate systems, benchmarks, and control points.
- Monitor dimensional accuracy during fabrication, erection, and assembly activities.
- Coordinate with Production, Engineering, QA/QC, and Project teams to resolve dimensional issues and ensure timely completion of project activities.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Identify dimensional discrepancies, clashes, tolerance issues, and misalignments and report them to the QC and Engineering teams.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable standards, and client requirements.
- Provide dimensional guidance during critical lifts, alignment activities, and equipment installation.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Project Manager, Engineering Manager, or QA/QC Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
- Surveying or Dimensional Control training or relevant certification.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably as a QC Inspector or Dimensional Controller in Oil & Gas, EPC, fabrication, marine, or heavy engineering projects.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong dimensional inspection, measurement, drawing interpretation, reporting, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of relevant dimensional control or surveying software is an advantage.
- Good understanding of dimensional control, geometric tolerances, fabrication and erection requirements, engineering drawings, and quality standards.
- Fluent in English.
